Investigations Division
The Los Santos County Investigative Division is comprised of 13 highly trained investigators. evidence technicians, and support staff. The division is divided into specialized highly trained units. These units include Homicide, Robbery / Burglary, Gang & Narcotics, and Forensic Science.
The Investigative Division's mission is to thoroughly investigate a wide variety of criminal cases that occur throughout the county. Out desire is to provide support to the victims of criminal acts, apprehend the offenders, recover stolen property, seize illegal drugs, and the assets from illegal drug sales. We accomplish this through community involvement. Cases are generated through reports from the public, pro-active investigations, and crime tips received from the community.

Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the face of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Office and the first line of defense. It's primary function is to protect the property and the citizens of Los Santos County. They are responsible for traffic safety, crime prevention, code enforcement, and school safety.
Deputies assigned to code enforcement ensure Los Santos County neighborhoods are well manicured by enforcing ordinances that require property upkeep. They also enforce the unregistered vehicle ordinance.
Department of Corrections
The LCDC [Los Santos County Department of Corrections] is composed of 1 prison and 4 holding facilities: The Boilingbroke Correctional Facility, Davis Holding Station, Sandy Shores Holding Station, Grapeseed Holding Station, and the Paleto Bay Holding Station.
These detention facilities were constructed to provide detention, operations, and related services necessary for the protection of society. They provide incarceration as an appropriate deterrent to the commission of crime, are a method of guidance and treatment for incarcerated offenders.

Public Safety Division
The Public Safety Division is to provide a safe environment for the citizens of Los Santos County and to foster resilience within the community to withstand challenges that lie ahead. Some of the goals of the Public Safety Division are to (1) establish and maintain a Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), (2) gather, analyze, and distribute intelligence about threats to Los Santos County, (3) coordinate the effort's if local, state, and federal and private agencies to address all potential hazards.
Public Safety also focuses on real-time crime fighting and community policing aimed at improving quality of life, neighborhood safety, revitalization and growth of local businesses, and aiding LCSO's effort to deter, identify, and solve crime.
Special Operations Division
The Special Operations Division is composed of deputies who have advanced skill levels in specialized fields of law enforcement. These individuals put in countless hours at their assigned duties while being on permanent call back status to respond to critical incidents. The division strives to provide effective community-based law enforcement services to the citizens of Los Santos County.
We also provide security for the Circuit Court, service of both criminal and civil process, and providing a well-trained Canine Unit.
